According to the above graph, it is almost clear that Android is the most successful mobile OS in the market today. Let’s check the aspects which set Android app development apart.

Interface
Android OS has contributed immensely to the world of User Interface (UI) to make it interactive. It is revolutionary and the app developers need to constantly work on it to make both the UI and UX attractive to the users.

Security
Android apps work in a sandbox which is an isolated area. Well, the permissions can be granted during installation and it needs user permission on every action. Majority of the OS require third-party support, however, in terms of security android is still a better choice for mobile application development.

Hardware
Android supports different platform including 32-bit and 64-bit: ARM architecture x86, x86-64, MIPS and MIPS64. This allows Android to work on different devices. And its RAM requirements normally start from 512MB, which also makes the different devices to opt for Android OS.

App Stores
When any users seek any new application on Android platform they can find it over Play store which is not the case with the majority of the OSs. Though iOS pioneered the app store idea, Android is winning the race.

Language support
Android support 70 languages which makes it more attractive to the mass. People across different states can experience the interface in their mother tongue which is an added advantage for Android OS.

Though there are different environments exist for Android app development, Android SDK or Android studio is the default way. One can create using JAVA and Android SDK and spread them after compilation.

Talking about behind the scene, for mobile application development OS is what the manufacturer gives and it remains in the device, unlike computers. Android is powered by most of the big giants in the market. It is evidence that the popularity and success are backed by the device manufacturers too.

However, every mobile application and OS development comes with unique configuration and features. All the OS and platforms are racing high to offer the best to the customers. We are also seeing a surge in demand for mobile app development.
